QUALITY LEATHER CARE

A proper shine is a key component of dress shoe conservation. Carefully maintaining quality leather footwear helps retain a new appearance as well as extend lifespan.Follow our numbered guide. Choose an open location and get your materials together.

STEP 1 : LACES

Cover the shining area with clean fabric or paper to maintain a neat environment. Remove your laces from the shoes to prevent getting polish on them.

STEP 2: SHOE TREE

Insert your Magnanni shoe tree in order to stretch the leather, creating a smooth, even work surface. Examine the shoes for grime and deposits.

STEP 3: HORSE HAIR BRUSH

Use the large horsehair brush to loosen and dust away any dirt, and the smaller horsehair brush to reach and clean the finer detail areas of the shoe.

STEP 4: LEATHER CLEANER

Add a dab of Magnanni leather cleaner to your cloth. Apply evenly to the entire shoe surface to prepare the leather pores for shoe cream.

STEP 5: SHOE CREAM

Using a fresh cloth, apply shoe cream evenly to the surface. Gently rub the cream into the leather using circular motions.

STEP 6: PIG HAIR BRUSH

Use the pig hair brush to create friction and work the pigment deeply into the leather pores. Use the smaller pig hair brush for harder to reach areas around the sole.

Step 7: POLISHING GLOVE

Use the corduroy and chamois leather polishing glove and buff the shoe in a circular motion until the desired gloss is achieved

STEP 6: COTTON CLOTH

Wetting slightly with water, use your cotton cloth to uniformly smooth the polish and equalize the shine covering the shoe surface.
